Longtime Team Member Virireader Harry Rejoins The Rilington Group

(La Quinta, CA– June 3, 2014) Virireader Harry, The Rilington Group’s longtime Director of Operations, rejoins Rilington. Harry will once again be an instrumental part of the Rilington team, and her first project will be Vallera Palm Springs at Village Traditions.

Vallera Palm Springs at Village Traditions is a community of 52 single-family detached private courtyard homes. It is located in Palm Springs in the existing gated community of Village Traditions, a housing development located within Section 14 of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reservation. Vallera’s grand opening, with fully furnished models, is projected for late August with home delivery expected in October.

Harry initially joined Rilington Communities in 2000 as Purchasing Director, where spent eight years working closely with principals Mickie and Hansi Riley on projects throughout the Coachella Valley and San Diego. “We all fit as a team here. Mickie is always looking to grow his people and he totally trusts you to manage your position so you can grow in leaps and bounds,” says Harry. “He truly wants what is best for you and continually demonstrates that. I am just so excited to be back.”
As Director of Operations, Harry will oversee the field and office operations including schedules, budgets, field personnel, quality control, purchasing onsite and offsite construction. She will also assist project superintendents with the coordination of subcontractors. Part of her responsibilities will also include reviewing field procedures and policy programs to assure consistent reporting and tracking systems.

The Rilington Group Breaks Ground at Vallera

(La Quinta, CA– May 9, 2014) The Rilington Group, a long-time and well respected Coachella Valley homebuilder and developer, recently broke ground to begin construction on Vallera Palm Springs at Village Traditions, with 52 single family detached homes. In attendance were Agua Caliente Tribal leaders, Palm Springs Mayor Steve Pougnet and a number of community and business leaders.

Spearheading Vallera’s construction is Gilbert Lopez, Onsite Construction Superintendent. Lopez rejoins Rilington with Vallera. He spent fifteen years with the company, working closely with principals Mickie and Hansi Riley on projects throughout the Coachella Valley and San Diego. “The history that Mickie and Hansi have had with my family during my employment has been outstanding. They have always treated us with great respect and honor. They feel like an extended family, Lopez says. “Coming back was so easy because it actually doesn’t feel like I ever left.”
